Roy Keane was scathing in his assessment of Marcus Rashford as he claimed his "general play as a footballer is shocking". The forward came off the bench for Manchester United as they were well beaten at Arsenal , who secured a 2-0 victory on Wednesday night. Rashford was introduced by Ruben Amorim with the visitors chasing the game, but he was unable to impact the scoreline. Rashford was back in the goals on Sunday against Everton , but couldn't influence the game at the Emirates as he largely underwhelmed. He misplaced passes and that eventually led to some brutal criticism from Keane. The former United captain, who was watching the game live on the Overlap, said: "I’ll tell you something, Marcus Rashford came on there. His general play as a footballer is shocking. "Watch his header there. Have United’s subs given anything since coming on? Nothing. The subs have done nothing. Manchester United deserve nothing anyway. They were rubbish. You know what happens with United? They fool you, they fool you. They’re not dynamic." Rashford has seen his form peak and drop off throughout his time in Manchester. Having previously hit 30 goals in a season the striker has endured a notable decline since then and is under pressure to produce and prove he has a role to play under the new regime. Keane recently said on the forward: "He never looks like he's enjoying it that much. That's the biggest worry for me. Listen, we can all be moody and when you're playing the game obviously you're under pressure. The attacking players, score goals, and getting assists. Even when he scores, everything's a bit of a chore to him." Rashford's form - or lack of - has seen him drop out of the England picture and he didn't go to the Euros in the summer. This term he's scored seven times but needs to outline to Ruben Amorim that he is deserving of a regular spot in a new look system. Keane said on United's overall performance: "I’m really disappointed with Manchester United. I thought the players were going through the motions a little bit. It was easy for Arsenal. The first half was fine but I was expecting a bit more. The manager’s probably thinking he thought United were a bit better than this. I was getting really frustrated at the end there." Free access to articles from 12:00.TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's government on Tuesday said it had lifted a ban on access to WhatsApp and Google Play after more than two years, the official IRNA news agency reported. The report said the country’s Supreme Council of Cyber Space made the decision in a meeting led by reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian, who has vowed to remove restrictions on social media. Iran’s telecommunication minister Sattar Heshemi in a post on X called the decision a “first step” in removing restrictions and said “the path will continue" — indicating the possibility of unblocking other services. Many people reached by The Associated Press across the capital, Tehran, and other cities said they had access to the services on computers but not yet on mobile phones. WhatsApp has been the third most popular messaging platform in Iran after Instagram and Telegram. The ban on WhatsApp and Google Play was put in place in 2022 during mass protests against the government over the death of a woman held by the country’s morality police for allegedly violating the strictly enforced dress code. The protests calmed in 2023 after a crackdown by police and security forces that led to the death of hundreds of people and the imprisonment of thousands. Iran has blocked access to various social media platforms over the years but many people in the country use proxies and VPNs to access them. SEALSQ Corp's stock rallied by more than 20% in early trading on Tuesday, reaching its highest level since August 2023, following the company’s announcement of its advancements in quantum-resistant technology aimed at protecting blockchain systems like Bitcoin from quantum computing threats. Following the initial surge, the stock’s gains tapered to 10% by 10 a.m. ET. Even so, SEALSQ stock’s value has more than doubled since Friday, marking a significant three-day rally. SEALSQ, a subsidiary of WISeKey, is advancing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) with innovative solutions, including quantum-resistant hardware, through its QUASARS project. WISeKey’s U.S.-listed shares also saw a significant boost, rising over 15% during morning trade. WISeKey initially announced the QUASARS project on Feb. 3, last year, when they incorporated SEALSQ Corp as a new company dedicated to developing post-quantum cryptography solutions. According to SEALSQ’s analysis, quantum computers could potentially hack Bitcoin signatures within 30 minutes, threatening the security of blockchain networks. Key vulnerabilities include exposed public keys, which could allow hackers to derive private keys, and dormant coins with lost private keys that remain unprotected. Retail sentiment around SEALSQ remained optimistic, with investors anticipating further gains as the company prepares for its satellite launch in collaboration with Elon Musk-owned SpaceX. Many investors on Stocktwits booked profits at market open, contributing to the stock’s slight pullback. The stock has gained 357.39% year-to-date. To improve border management, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has approved major operational reforms as part of the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) 2025 Enforcement Strategy. The reforms include reducing the number of customs checkpoints across the country to streamline operations and enhance the free movement of goods and people. A statement from the National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, revealed that the NCS will rely more on actionable intelligence and strategic risk management frameworks to enhance operational efficiency. “The Service is intensifying efforts to address trade bottlenecks, improve border security, fight smuggling, and encourage legitimate trade,” the statement said. “The Service is deploying geospatial tools and advanced technologies to ensure the effectiveness of NCS enforcement strategies. This development highlights the Service’s commitment to innovative, intelligence-driven approaches for effective border enforcement and anti-smuggling operations.” In line with these strategies, the NCS also announced the dissolution of the Joint Border Patrol Team (JBPT) after consultations with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). “This operation, which began in 2019 under the code name ‘Ex-Swift Response’ and later evolved into JBPT, was initially established to enforce the partial border closure policy. Since its creation, JBPT has played a crucial role in curbing the influx of dangerous goods and ensuring compliance with Nigeria’s trade and security regulations,” the statement noted. “The NCS acknowledges and deeply appreciates the cooperation and commitment of other government agencies that collaborated in this mission. Their invaluable contributions have been key to safeguarding Nigeria’s land borders.” The NCS reassured stakeholders that the reforms would not compromise border security or trade facilitation, but rather represent a modernised approach to improving compliance, promoting legitimate trade, and strengthening national security. CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi urged continued support from stakeholders in the fight against economic sabotage. He reaffirmed the NCS’s commitment to securing Nigeria’s borders, facilitating lawful trade, and ensuring the well-being of all Nigerians.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that wide receiver Treylon Burks , who’s been on injured reserve since mid-October with an injured knee, recently had surgery to fix a partially torn ACL. “It was a loose ACL that wasn’t fully torn, and so they had to go see a specialist, so some weeks went by after he went on IR and he eventually had to have ACL surgery,” Callahan said. “The surgery was a couple of weeks back, and the time from when he went to IR until he had the surgery was also a couple of weeks.” Burks was hurt in practice the week after the Titans lost to Indianapolis on Oct. 13 and placed on injured reserve on Oct. 19. The 2022 first-round pick is no stranger to injuries. He suffered concussions in both 2022 against Philadelphia and last year against Pittsburgh. Burks missed six games in each of his first two seasons with the Titans and played in just five games this season before being placed on injured reserve. He finished 2024 with four receptions for 34 yards. For his three NFL seasons, Burks has 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown catch. The Titans (3-9) host Jacksonville (2-10) on Sunday. has shown Benji Marshall and fans why they have spent the big bucks to bring him to the club after he rocked up to pre-season training a week early. Luai was signed from the Panthers on a mega $6 million deal across five years to make him one of the highest-paid players in the . The Samoan international is coming off three-straight premierships with Penrith, but made the move from Penrith for his family with the Tigers offering him a much bigger deal. And Tigers fans are already excited for his combination in the halves with promising talent Lachlan Galvin. preparations when Luai opted to play for Samoa against England in the post-NRL tour. This meant he would have to wait to link up with his new teammates due to the required time off required for international players. And Luai, along with fellow recruits Sunia Turuva, Royce Hunt and Jack Bird, joined Tigers training on Tuesday ahead of schedule. The Tigers have been lacking leaders for years having finished last three years running. Although there appears to be a changing of the guard at the Tigers with the signing of Luai prompting renewed hope the team can change its fortunes. Luau is also speculated to have had a hand in persuading . The forward was not wanted by the Roosters heading into 2025 and made the switch over to join his Samoan teammate. Marshall will now be able to get to work on his new halves combination with Galvin only going to benefit from more time with Luai ahead of the new season. Luai's intention also shows his willingness to become a leader at the Tigers, which echoes a sentiment that he won't be taking up any reported 'player option' in his contact. Only last week, fans were left stunned when it was reported after just two years because the final three years of his deal are 'player options'. This excited Panthers fans with the possibility of Luai returning to Penrith if things don't go to plan at the Wests Tigers. Let’s OGE 😤☯️ — Wests Tigers (@WestsTigers) However, reporter Peter Lang quelled expectations around this and claimed Luai has ended up where he is because of his determination to succeed. "A lot of Panthers supporters have renewed hope that Jarome Luai will return to Penrith due to a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave the Tigers after two years if he wants to," Lang wrote on social media. "My personal opinion is that Luai will never return to the Panthers...he's not a quitter." And after explaining Luai's determination to prove himself at the Tigers should be enough for him to see out his contract, Lang also explained the Panthers' salary cap situation would make it hard to bring him back. Tigers fans are finally excited for a new season with halfback and a number of forwards joining the club in some much needed recruitment. The Tigers have splashed out nearly around $4 million on new signings. And while many, including the likes of Phil Gould, are predicting the Tigers to soar up the ladder it could also spell disaster for Marshall if things don't go right. Marshall was expected to improve the Tigers in 2024 and while they may have played slightly better footy, they still finished last. And the coach has been warned if things don't improve in 2025 he could be facing extra pressure. "On paper, they're not getting the wooden spoon... And this is the thing right. Now the blowtorch is going to go off the admin, it's going to go off the players because they now have the roster and the blowtorch is going to be firmly on Benji. "Benji is a really really good coach. He's a great guy to have around the players as well, he's highly intelligent and he knows the emotional intelligence to know his players but he has to keep it simple. I think sometimes Benji tries to overcook the coaching."RCM Technologies' division president Michael Saks sells $235,006 in stock
