The Los Angeles Chargers have placed tight end Hayden Hurst on injured reserve . Hurst has struggled to stay healthy after struggling with a groin injury earlier in the season and will now be shelved with a hip for at least the Chargers game against the Denver Broncos on December 19th. Hurst Moved To IR Ahead Of Chargers MNF Game He was featured heavily in the first four weeks of the season before getting hurt early in their first contest against the Broncos. Through those four games, Hurst had seven catches on 10 targets for 59 yards. The team rebuilt their tight end room ahead of the season adding Hurst in addition to Will Dissly, Stone Smartt, and Tucker Fisk. Hurst missed the last eight games of 2023 due to a traumatic head injury. He also had surgery on his groin, in the spring of 2023. Tight ends have always been featured heavily in Jim Harbaugh’s offenses and that has followed suit with the Chargers. In Hurst’s absence, he has looked to Will Dissly as a pass-catching option. In his six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Dissly averaged 27 catches and 296 yards receiving. So far in 10 games with the Chargers, he has caught a career-high 37 passes and 352 yards. It is likely that Dissly now fills the role intended for Hurst who has been a pass-catching tight end in the past. To fill the roster spot, the team has signed cornerback Eli Apple. Additionally, they have activated defensive back Deane Leonard from injured reserve and elevated safety Tony Jefferson and outside linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad. They also moved AJ Finley to the IR. This article first appeared on LAFB Network and was syndicated with permission. The 11 best litter box furniture enclosures of 2024

Will Smith "can’t wait to check" Jamie Foxx's new stand-up special. The 56-year-old actor has taken to social media to wish a happy "early birthday" to his showbiz pal, who turns 57 on Friday (13.12.24), and has just released a new Netflix comedy special called 'What Had Happened Was...'. Will - who starred alongside Jamie in the 2001 biopic 'Ali' - wrote on Instagram: "First Off: Happy Early Bday, Foxx! I feel blessed to take another adventure around the Sun [sun emoji] with you. "Second: I’m glad to see you back doing what you LOVE. Welcome home. I can’t wait to check it out. "Y’all go watch @iamjamiefoxx’s special on @netflix TODAY!! (sic)" In the Netflix special, Jamie reveals that he suffered a "brain bleed that led to a stroke" on the set of his upcoming movie, 'Back in Action', in 2023. The comedian - who stars in the film alongside Cameron Diaz - explains: "Before I could get the aspirin [clicks his fingers] I went out. I don’t remember 20 days." Jamie - who disappeared from the spotlight for months following his health scare - admitted that he came perilously close to losing his life at one point in time. The actor also recalled waking up in a hospital and having to be told that he'd suffered a stroke. He shares in the comedy special: "They said at one point, the first 15 days, they thought they were going to lose me because my vitals were out of control. "There was a 13- or 14-day period where they said, we’ve gotta keep him calm and we’ve given him every medication that they could. It’s not working, we gotta keep him calm because his vitals are so high we’re going to lose him."DA suggests unusual idea for halting Trump's hush money case while upholding convictionSouth Korea's ex-defense minister attempts suicide, police raid presidential office

Ardagh Glass Packaging pioneers hydrogen energy mix from onsite electrolyser (AGP-Europe), an operating business of Ardagh Group, announced today that it is now producing green hydrogen for glass melting via a hydrogen electrolyser at its facility in Limmared, Sweden. The 5MW Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolyser uses renewable electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, supplying hydrogen to the energy mix in the furnace. Since testing of the electrolyser began in October, the furnace has successfully combusted 109,000m of hydrogen produced on site, saving 70 tonnes of CO . Daniel Johansson, Project Manager, AGP-Europe explained: “The testing phase using the hydrogen energy mix is progressing well, with no impact on the quality of the glass or the furnace. Our target is to replace 20% of the natural gas in the furnace with green hydrogen, which will reduce carbon emissions from our glass packaging produced in Limmared.” This partly hydrogen-fired glass furnace follows the launch of AGP’s flagship NextGen Furnace in Obernkirchen, Germany, where 60% electrical heating has already been achieved, delivering a 64%* reduction in carbon emissions. AGP-Europe CEO added: The future combination of hydrogen and other sustainable technologies such as hybrid melting, will help Ardagh Group and our customers to achieve their emissions reduction targets, as well as advancing the decarbonisation of the glass industry.” READ the latest news shaping the hydrogen market at Ardagh Glass Packaging pioneers hydrogen energy mix from onsite electrolyser, CSIRO electrolyser pilot demonstrates efficiency and durability at Bluescope Steel Plant CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, has successfully trialled its game-changing hydrogen production technology at...
